Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FactoriaGo (the "Service"), operated by Factoria.AI ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

FactoriaGo is a cloud-based academic paper revision platform that provides AI-assisted writing tools, real-time collaboration, and document management features. The Service includes web applications, APIs, and related documentation.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account.
  • One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights of others.
  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Use automated scripts to collect information from the Service without permission.
  • Share your account credentials with third parties.

5. Intellectual Property

  • You retain full ownership of all content you create and upload to the Service.
  • We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your manuscripts, papers, or other materials.
  • By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
  • This license terminates when you delete your content or close your account.

6. AI-Generated Content

  • AI-assisted suggestions and generated content are provided as recommendations only.
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving all content before submission or publication.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, originality, or suitability of AI-generated content for any specific purpose.
  • Your manuscripts are never used to train our AI models.

7. Subscription & Payments

  • Free accounts are subject to usage limits as described on the Pricing page.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis.
  • All payments are processed securely through PayPal. By subscribing, you also agree to PayPal's User Agreement.
  • Recurring subscriptions are automatically renewed at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to paid features until then.
  • If you change your plan (upgrade or downgrade), the new plan takes effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days advance notice. Existing subscribers will be notified via email before any price change applies to their account.
  • Promotional discounts (e.g., introductory offers, referral discounts) apply only to the first qualifying payment and are non-transferable.

7a. Refund Policy

  • No Unconditional Refunds. All subscription payments are non-refundable except in cases of verified technical faults on our platform that prevent you from using the Service as intended.
  • Technical Fault Refunds. If a platform-side technical issue (e.g., persistent service outage, data loss caused by our system, critical functionality failure) prevents you from using paid features during your billing period, you may request a refund for the affected period.
  • How to Request. To request a refund due to a technical fault, email admin@factoriago.com with your account email, a description of the issue, and any relevant screenshots or error details. Refund requests are reviewed within 5–10 business days.
  • Refund Method. Approved refunds are returned to the original PayPal payment method used for the purchase.
  • Non-Refundable Items. Subscription fees for periods where the Service was available and functioning, one-time promotional credits, and referral rewards are non-refundable.
  • Cancellation vs. Refund. You may cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period.

8. Termination

  • You may close your account at any time through the Settings page.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • Upon termination, you may export your data within 30 days.
  • After 30 days, your data will be permanently deleted.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect.
